A Mora 'Erik Frost' double edge hook knife (163 S) made with a stainless steel blade holding superior edge retention and fitted with a shaped Birchwood handle for a comfortable firm hold.
This wood carving whittling hook knife has a fairly shallow curve with a sharp edge on both sides of the blade.

The blades are extremely sharp, you may wish to take advantage of a pair of Kevlar cut resistant gloves.
