Hand Saws

Saws come mainly in three types, the Rip saw has 4.5 tpi and is used for ripping timber down the length cutting down the grain of the wood and heavy duty work, with larger teeth and more set on the teeth. The Hand saw has 7 or 8 tpi and sometimes called a crosscut saw for general cutting. The panel saw has 10 tpi and for finer work where you need a longer blade and can make a more accurate cut, All can be re-sharpened and re-set when the need arises.
