Final Reductions on Veritas tools - extended

Rasps

Wood rasps are coarse, textured tools used for shaping and smoothing wood by abrasively removing material through a series of small raised teeth on their surface.  When worked across wood, these teeth abrade the material, gradually removing it. The coarseness or fineness of the rasp determines the aggressiveness of material removal and the resulting texture left on the wood. Woodworkers use rasps for tasks such as sculpting, carving, or refining wood surfaces. Also see our Japanese Rasps
