Who are we
Toolnut is a family run business which specialises in and prides itself in providing customers with a wide range of fine tools: traditional tools, hand tools based on classic designs, and hand tools with a modern twist. Many of the tools we stock are British made including one of the largest collections of British woodcarving tools in the UK.
Toolnut Limited staff have many years experience of working with quality old tools as well as gaining knowledge about old tools and their history. The staff have obtained this knowledge from working with Old Tools Limited (www.oldtools.co.uk). OldTools.co.uk specialises in selling secondhand tools and antique tools. Toolnut takes advantage of this experience to select some of the finer new tools from the present day.
FINE HAND PICKED TOOLS
Toolnut has hand-picked a great array of fine hand tools, most of which have been made by UK tool manufacturers.
The majority of tools which Toolnut sell are tools from long standing, respected manufacturers, and/or tools that are remakes on tried and well loved classic designs and/or tools that are at the forefront of quality pieces and/or are potential future classics.
In a throw-away age, Toolnut looks to provide some of the world's finer hand tools that excel in quality, that are built to last and that you certainly would not wish to throw-away.
At present Toolnut has a relatively short life span, however in the time Toolnut has been in business it has sourced and vastly increased the range of products available to its customers. Toolnut Limited has been in business since 2007.

PRESS RELEASE 05/05/2016
Toolnut.co.uk is a family run business which specialises in and prides itself on providing customers with a wide range of fine tools: traditional tools, hand tools based on classic designs, and hand tools with a modern twist.
Toolnut Ltd was first formed in 2007 as an extension of Old Tools Ltd (www.oldtools.co.uk) who specialise in selling some most interesting antique tools through to modern second-hand tools; it is worth browsing the website just as a museum delivered straight to your home.
Toolnut’s aim has always been to use the knowledge of the best old tools to provide customers with the best hand tools of today and in particular promoting the best British tools.
Toolnut stocks items from over ten British makers which include hand tools ranging from carving tools, turning tools, saws, planes through to ironmongery.
Toolnut is constantly looking for new great items to add to the range and welcomes the approach of new tool makers.
Toolnut holds approximately 99% of items in their stock so they can dispatch orders in the quickest possible time which as a result has put smiles on 1000’s of customers faces with customers regularly writing to say thank you for the fast dispatch and the great tools.
Toolnut is currently using their many years of knowledge to produce an online encyclopaedia of old tools and new tools, called ‘Find My Tool’ (www.findmytool.co.uk), a project that will be ongoing for many years to come, in an aim to spread the knowledge along with the vast library of tool photos gathered over the past decade.
Toolnut would finally like to say thank you to all of its customers over the past nine years, it is because of your support we are where we are and the hand tool industry continues producing great tools. Thank you.
