The Veritas Pullshave is designed specifically for hollowing or recessing surfaces, making it an excellent tool for tasks such as shaping and smoothing chair seats. Its distinctive design takes the concept of a convex spokeshave and reconfigures it into a pull-style tool with a rear handle and front knob, providing greater control and making demanding shaping work much easier.

Unlike traditional tools, the Pullshave is engineered to handle the work normally done by inshaves and travishers. The 1/8" (0.125") thick blade, combined with a carefully machined blade bed and cap iron, delivers smooth, chatter-free cutting performance even during heavier stock removal.

The shaves blade bed is set at a 45° angle and the sole has a 3-1/2" radius, allowing the tool to follow gentle curves with precision. The ductile cast iron body provides strength and stability, while the large rear handle and hardwood front knob ensure comfortable, controlled operation.

The pullshave's depth of cut is adjusted using twin thumb wheels, allowing quick and precise tuning while you work.

Supplied with a durable PM-V11 steel blade for excellent edge retention and cutting performance.
