The Veritas Bullnose Plane is an essential joinery hand tool,  designed for detailed joinery work. It can be quickly changed from a bullnose plane to a chisel plane by loosening the brass toe knob and removing the front section. In chisel configuration, it allows you to work right into tight or blind corners with ease.

An adjustable set screw in the toe controls the mouth opening and acts as a stop, so when you switch configurations, the setting remains consistent. This feature also helps prevent the toe from contacting the blade edge.

The body and toe are machined from ductile cast iron, with a flat sole and square sides to support accurate work. The shape allows the bullnose plane to sit comfortably in the hand, with a broad lever cap that fits into the palm and a toe pocket for finger placement, giving you control during use. A through-hole in the body adds extra grip.

With a low bed angle of 15° and a 25° blade bevel, the plane produces a 40° cutting angle, making the Veriras bullnose plane well suited for end-grain applications. Side set screws make it easier to position the blade and return it to the same alignment after sharpening.
