Joseph Marples Try Square - 9 Inch - Rosewood

• A fine sealed rosewood 9 inch Joseph Marples try square.
• This square incorporates 3mm thick brass strip on the inside face to ensure accuracy.
• Each of these Marples squares have been tested for accuracy two times during the manufacturing process and again just before leaving the factory.

The tempered spring steel blade is chemically blued and secured to the stock with decorative brass diamond washers and steel rivets.

The accuracy of the try square is well within that required by the British Standard: BS3322.

These squares have been tested on both the inside and outside faces, with the internal angle being twice as accurate as the British Standard, an accuracy better than 0.01mm/10mm blade length.

This nicely engineered tool is modelled on old Marples try square designs from over 70 years ago.
