Veritas Double Sided Hand Strop

Put a razor-sharp final edge on your blades — or keep them performing between full sharpening sessions.

This double-sided hand strop is a practical addition to any sharpening setup. Supplied with the leather unattached, it allows you to mount it your way and choose between stropping on the smooth grain (skin) side or the rough suede side.

Made from 18mm CNC-routed Baltic birch plywood, the body is strong, stable, and features a contoured handle for a comfortable grip during use. Once installed, the leather sits recessed within the wooden body, helping to minimise debris build-up when the strop is placed on the bench.

Leather naturally contains fine abrasive properties, so it can be used on its own. For enhanced honing performance, charge one side with a thin layer of Veritas green honing compound to achieve an excellent balance of fast cutting action and a refined, polished edge.
