Hand-cut rasps function differently from machine cut rasps. They cut faster and leave a surprisingly good work surface because of the excellent surface quality, extra sharpness, and the slightly irregular spacing of their teeth.

Hand cut riffler rasps offer a long handle with two rasp-ends, which are used to work curved shapes or in places that are difficult to access. Recommended for wood, plastics as well as soapstone etc.
