This skew rabbet plane is designed for accurate, clean joinery work. The blade is set at a 30° angle to reduce cutting resistance and improve chip clearance, allowing the plane to cut smoothly while helping keep the fence tight against the workpiece. With the blade sitting flush to the side of the body, it can produce clean, accurate cuts right into corners.

The 9-3/4" ductile cast iron body is machined with a 45° blade bed. An adjustable scoring spur positioned ahead of the blade helps reduce tear-out when working across the grain, resulting in cleaner edges.

A 7-3/8" adjustable fence allows rabbets up to 1-1/2" wide and runs on dual guide rods with a collet locking system to prevent racking (twisting / tilting of fence guide). Large brass knobs allow quick adjustments without the need of tools, and the fence is through-drilled so a wooden user extension can be fitted for wider workpieces.

An adjustable shoe controls cutting depth up to 3/4", or can be removed when no depth limit is required. The plane includes a PM-V11 tool steel blade and a precise depth adjustment mechanism with side set screws for consistent blade positioning.
