Veritas Scraper Burnisher for Turners – Smooth Edge-Hooks Made Simple

The Veritas Scraper Burnisher for Turners allows woodturners to take scrapers to the next level. Traditional scrapers often rely on a grinder burr, but adding a smooth edge-hook with this burnisher produces far superior cutting performance. After grinding a scraper, deburr the flat face and roll a hook onto the edge—the pressure applied determines hook size for full control.

Two 1" long carbide burnishing rods are included. The 10° rod is suitable for 70°–75° bevels, and the 5° rod for 75°–80° bevels. This ensures compatibility across a wide range of scraper angles.

Unlike other burnishers, this tool can be clamped in a vice or lathe stand, allowing full-body leverage. This makes it possible to put hooks even on HSS scrapers, something no other burnisher can achieve.
