Robert Sorby Sash Mortice Chisel

• The Robert Sorby Sash Mortice Chisel is made to a traditional design.
• This sash chisel has a heavy bladed section making it ideal for levering out waste wood from deep mortices for tenons, locks and hinges.
• Hardwood handles are comfortable and extremely durable.
• Features special two degree side taper to prevent binding in the cut.

This chisel also has a special two degree side taper to prevent binding in the cut. May be used with light blows from a mallet.

Please note: handles are now made from Satin wood unless stated otherwise

The chisel blade is forged from special Sheffield alloy steel
