This Gyokucho Ryoba Seiun Saku 240 is a traditional Japanese pull saw with two cutting edges: one for crosscuts and one for rip cuts. The finer 15 TPI side is suited to general joinery and clean cuts across the grain, while the coarser tooth pattern on the reverse handles cutting along the grain more efficiently. It works across solid timber as well as sheet goods such as MDF and plywood. The thin blade and narrow kerf allow for controlled cutting with minimal material waste. The teeth are impulse-hardened for extended edge life, and the blade can be replaced when worn. The handle is finished in a classic rattan wrap for grip and comfort.
