- This is fully functional 1:3-scale replica of the Veritas cabinetmaker's trimming plane is designed for tasks in areas where a full-sized plane or chisel can't reach. Measuring just 2 3/16" long, 5/8" wide, and under 1" tall, it is perfect for making precise paring cuts in confined spaces, like the interior of a box.
- The 25° bevel blade combined with a 15° bed angle results in an effective cutting angle of 40°, allowing for clean cutting of end-grain fibers and reducing tearing. The fully exposed, full-width blade enables you to work right up to adjacent surfaces and can be set flush with the sole for precise trimming without leaving marks.
- The plane is constructed from investment-cast stainless steel with machined sides and a ground sole, this plane is comfortable to grip and operate.
- Fitted with a 5/32" thick blade that is made of A2 tool steel, the lever cap is stainless steel, and the rear tote is crafted from walnut.
