The Kunz Plus jack plane is a German made number 5 plane made using German craftsmanship.
The body of the plane is constructed from durable stress-annealed fine grey-cast iron with precision milled flat and square sole and sides.
The Kunz 5 Plus is fitted with a Norris style blade adjuster for fine blade adjustments. The adjuster can be used to adjust both the blade laterally and the depth of cut.
The re-designed Norris style adjuster consists of single post with two sets of threads contained in two barrel-style nuts.
The frog has a fine adjustment screw that when turned moves the frog to allow you to control the throat opening.
The Kunz plane blade is hardened and tempered to 60-62 Rockwell C and all surfaces of the chipbreaker and cap iron are finely machined to reduce blade chatter.
The Kunz Plus plane number 5 is the most popular of the jack plane sizes.
