Veritas Scraping Plane is designed for final smoothing. This woodworking scraper plane has a Stress-relieved ductile cast iron body that is machined and surface ground on the 9-1/2" sole, its large sole ensures an accurately flattened surface. Adjustable frog enables blade angles from 0 to 25 for fine control of cutting action. This woodworking plane is fitted with a 2 7/8" wide high-carbon steel blade that is 0.055" thick and hardened to Rc48-51. Cutter has a 45 degree ground cutting edge.
