This impressive wide jack plane incorporates the design of the ‘BEDROCK’ frog and frog seating pad, a rigid cap iron, an extra thick high carbon steel blade, a ground flat sole within the British Standard of 0.075mm (0.003”), beautiful Walnut rear handle and front knob, and finished with a graphite grey finish.

As a premium and versatile plane, this Clifton 5 1/2 excels as a Jack plane, serving as a reliable workhorse. Ideal for efficiently preparing sawn timber, its broad 60mm (2 3/8") blade covers more surface area during board flattening.

This plane comes complete with a fully machined frog and an extra thick plane blade made from cryogenically treated 01 tool steel; a combination which holds its edge for much longer than most blades.
