Product Description

A Joseph Marples half round cutting gauge. This cutting gauge is made from Rosewood with brass wear plates inlaid into the face of the head, a cutting knife held in place with a brass wedge and a knurled thumb screw used for adjustments.

Cutting gauges are much like marking gauges the diference being a cutting gauge has a knife cutter instead of a pin. Cutting gauges are designed for working with veneers and scoring across grain.

Stem Length: 210mm (8 1/4") approx.
